Sabudana Thalipeeth Recipe

Sabudana or tapioca is one such food which is super beneficial during pregnancy. It’s a good energy source due to its starch content which helps for morning sickness, high content of folate which prevents birth deformities for the fortis, and has a cooling effect in the system which aids in improving digestion. Enjoy this yummy Sabudana Thalipeeth with some mint chutney, cucumber raita or some date chutney.

Ingredients

  • Sago 1 cup soaked overnight
  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 1/4 cup crushed roasted peanuts
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 fresh green chili chopped finely
  • Handful of chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil

Method 

Knead together all the ingredients except the oil.  Divide the mixture in to 12 portions. Place each portion on a plastic/ cling film, use damp fingers to flatten in a thin disc. Heat a non stick pan and cook the Thalipeeth smearing some oil on both the sides. Enjoy them hot with some mint chutney.
